Candida Question #13 Is Itchy Vagina A Sign Of Candida Yeast Infection?

Why is my vagina so itchy? What can I do to relieve the itchiness of vaginal itching?

There are many reasons why vaginal itching may occur. Here are some of the best solutions, which I’m going to read out to you from my book, eleven different solutions, which I think are some of the best you can try. It’s important if you get recurring itching certainly to get checked out by your doctor or gynecologist to make sure that there are no underlying problems there.

The first thing to do is to avoid sexual relations with a person, you know, particularly if you have a genital infection or itch just in case you’re passing a condition on to somebody else and they’re going to pass it back to you. So that’s one of the first things you do until you resolve the issue is refrain from intimate relations.

If you’ve got repeated issues with vaginal itching, be careful of tight clothing in the area and wear more loose clothing; that makes sense.

Third issue is avoiding nylon underclothing, so wear cotton that can breathe. This is very important to do. It’s going to allow more air to the area. So wear cotton garments and loose garments. Use non-perfume soap and be careful of any hygiene products you use which may aggravate or irritate the area.

Avoid douches. In chapter five in Candida Crusher is a whole chapter on chronic vaginal candidiasis, which will give you some very good approaches to vaginal yeast infections. There’s my two-step approach which is excellent which works in clearing up a chronic vaginal infection in a few months. If you follow it carefully, you’ll get outstanding results particularly if you’ve been diagnosed with a vaginal yeast infection.

When at home when you can, leave undergarments off as often as you can to allow air to circulate through the region; that makes sense, too. Be particularly careful if you’re using any toys during sexual relations. Don’t laugh here, but I once worked with a doctor and I saw quite a lot of gay and lesbian patients who were involved in these sorts of things that I found sometimes that using vibrators and sex toys can create a huge problem with people, so be sure that these things are clean when you use them.

Watch out for scratching or rubbing irritated tissue around the vagina. This can cause a lot of problems, too. You can also be more prone to infections if you do those sorts of things. So keep your fingernails short and watch for scratching or rubbing.

As I mentioned previous, if you can’t resolve the condition very soon, you need to get an expert opinion. Go to your doctor or gynecologist; have a smear test done, get checked out to make sure that you find the cause of this chronic itching.

Are you menopausal or post-menopausal?

This is an interesting question. Itching can occur there due to a thinning of the vaginal tissue due to low estrogen. So again, you may need to get a blood test or salivary hormone test to determine what your estrogen and progesterone levels are like and maybe have them balanced if need be.

But please do have a look at my book, Candida Crusher. There are many solutions for vaginal itching in this book. Chapter five has particularly good information for the female in it. So I hope that answers your question.

Thank you.

Candida Question #11 Can Bladder Infection Cause Yeast Infection or Not?

Well, it’s not really likely that a bladder infection, which is generally bacterial, will cause a yeast infection, which is usually fungal. They can occur simultaneously, though. And a bladder infection may predispose you towards an immune weakness, which would increase your susceptibility to a vaginal yeast infection. So it could be indirectly linked to it. It certainly could, and I certainly have seen females with a bladder infection and a vaginal yeast infection occurring at the same time. Quite painful and uncomfortable and I’ve certainly seen it.

Having a bladder infection may make you take an antibiotic like Trimethoprim for example or another antibiotic for several days, which can increase your susceptibility to getting a vaginal yeast infection, so that’s how it can be linked up.

I’m going to do other videos on bladder infections, so when you have a bladder infection drink plenty of water and look at my other information you’ll find in my book, Candida Crusher regarding bladder infections. There are some good hints and tips in the book, and you’ll find some more videos on what to do for bacterial infections involving the bladder in particular.

So, I hope that answers your question. Thanks for your question.

Candida Question #8 I Cured My Candida But Will It Come Back?

Here’s an email I received from a lady some time ago who beat her yeast infection, but now she’s concerned that it may recur.

Well, it shouldn’t happen. You shouldn’t have to get your infection back at all providing you’ve learned your lessons and you’ve understood the cause and effect. Many people develop a yeast infection through poor lifestyle or diet. For example, taking recurring antibiotics, the oral contraceptive pill, or different medications or perhaps eating too much ice cream, having too much sugar in general or carbs in their diet, high stress lifestyles, not enough sleep, there are many reasons why people develop a yeast infection and also many reasons why they maintain this particular yeast infection.

So, if you’ve understood the cause and effect and you’ve worked on the causes, you’ve understood the exciting cause or the reason why you developed it, and then you’ve eradicated the maintaining causes, the reasons why you’ve maintained this infection, there’s no reason to believe you should have your yeast infection back again.

The other thing I would say to you is did you learn your lesson? Candida is a good teacher. Did you learn something from your experiences? Have you moved on? Was it a lesson you needed to learn? If you learned well and you consider Candida your teacher and you’re a good pupil, then you should have learned your lesson and not have to suffer the consequences of a yeast infection again.

So I hope that answers your question. You should not have to endure a recurrence of your yeast infection.
