Candida Question #32 Is Breastfeeding Possible When I Have A Yeast Infection?

Absolutely, there’s no reason why you should discontinue breastfeeding if your child or you have a yeast infection. I would advise you, though, not to take antibiotics if you’re breastfeeding. I’ve seen too many cases of children developing allergies and digestive-related issues and yeast infection while the mother was taking an antibiotic. So it’s not a good idea.

I would recommend that you include garlic in your diet or origano oil and the various other products I recommend in my book, Candida Crusher, particularly in Chapter 7, Section 4. You can read all about the special foods. There are many special foods that you can consume which will really help to counter your yeast infection when you’re breastfeeding. So there’s no reason why you should abstain from breastfeeding if you or your infant do have a yeast infection.
