I really crave bread or wine or ice cream or sugar or candy or any type of sweet food. What can I do to quell these cravings?
There are different types of sugar cravings. Some people have mild sugar cravings other people have massive sugar cravings. So it really depends to what extent you’ve been eating these sweet or treat foods right up to the point where now you’re interested in eradicating your yeast infection.
So a couple of tricks and tips which I’ll give you now, but you’ll find many more in my book, Candida Crusher. A classic way to help with mild sugar cravings is to take chromium picolinate, about between 200 to 500 mcg depending on your body size. Take this between two to three times per day with food, particularly in the morning. You’ll find that chromium will help. If you’ve got killer cravings to the point where you’re prepared to get in the car and drive down to the shop to buy some chocolate ice cream, you may want to have a small bottle of a herb called Gymnema and put some of this in your mouth with those strong cravings. It’s quite a bitter herb. You can dilute it in a little bit of water and this will stop the killer cravings. You’ll get a result from this one to two hours after you take the Gymnema Sylvestre. You’ll get this herb probably from your herbalist.
As I mentioned in my book, there are many different tricks and tips on helping you to overcome your sugar craving. But changing your diet for the better, improving your protein intake and the quality of your proteins and dropping the junk for about two to three weeks prior to starting the induction diet, you’ll be well on your way to getting rid of these sugar cravings. Once you do, it will be one of the best decisions you’ve made because all of a sudden you’ve started to reduce one of your biggest risk factors for yeast infection and that’s sweet foods.
