Can I Eat Tuna on Candida Diet?

Hello, again. It’s Eric Bakker, back again, naturopath from New Zealand, author of Candida Crusher, creator of the YouTube channel that you’re currently looking at. Thank you so much for checking out my video. I do appreciate it.

We’re going to talk about tuna today, tuna fish. We’re going to talk about fish and probably protein consumption a bit in general. There is a lot of fear factor regarding tuna and ocean fish in general. I’ve just spent probably a good half an hour looking on the internet at different websites, Candida websites and various other sites, sites regarding food consumption and healthy diet in general. And a lot of people now are worried about fish. Many people now believe you shouldn’t even eat ocean fish because it all contains mercury. Many people now are starting to post blogs that you shouldn’t eat any sea creatures at all because they’re all radioactive from the Fukushima fall out that we had in Japan. For God’s sakes, next thing people will tell you to stop breathing air because it’s toxic that you should maybe buy bottled air and breath that.

As I’ve mentioned in a previous video, I had a very good friend who subscribes to a top health magazine from the US, but he gave up on it because he said every time I open it up, there was something else that was supposedly going to give me cancer if I didn’t watch out. He said, “In the end, I thought, well, if something’s not going to kill me, something else will kill me to cancer,” so he gave up subscribing to this magazine.

Is tuna okay? Is tuna not okay? Here’s what I want you to carefully think about. It all depends on you. It depends on how much you eat. It depends on your body in general. Eating any kind of protein, you’re going to take a risk that that protein could have some kind of contamination regardless of what kind of protein it is. Regardless of what kind of animal it is, whether it’s a bird, whether it’s a cow, whether it’s a sheep, whether it’s a fish, animals in general can contain lots of chemicals. If you want to drill it right down and get anal, what about if an animal, even an organic animal, has a high fear rate because it’s going to be killed and it secretes a whole lot of hormones, cortisol and adrenaline into its system. That meat become toxic. “Hang on a minute, isn’t organic meat supposed to be good for you?” Well, not if the animal knows it’s going to be killed. This can create quite a nasty situation for animal and also for the person who’s going to eat the animal.

It depends on how you want to take this. I personally don’t have a problem with tuna. I do eat tuna. And I’ll tell you why I eat tuna. Some research I did online last year was quite interesting. If we get a look at fish like shark, tuna, swordfish, the bigger kind of fish species that are prone to building up mercury levels in their body, the interesting thing is that these fish also have high levels of selenium methionine build up in their body, too. You can do your own research. Selenium tends to be in these animals by default at higher levels to get rid of the mercury. There is some debate now whether mercury in fish really is an issue or not.

I do know from some of the stuff I’ve read online from the EPA, the environmental protection association in the states, they were worried, particularly a few years ago, about a lot of the fish internally in the US in the lakes with mercury. How could mercury get into lakes in Northern America? For a couple of reasons. Area where a lot of gold is being mined, mercury was used in the process of extracting gold from particularly types of ore. It was used as a by-product and it was dumped, so you can find mercury in rivers and lakes. Also another crazy thing you might not have thought about is until several years ago, they put these special caps on top of crematoriums. They’re burning so many deceased people that the mercury fillings are being vaporized and again this would just come down like acid rain, would be dumped into mountainous areas and this would wash into rivers, lakes and streams. In fact, some of the lakes are so full of mercury that they actually don’t even want people to swim in them anymore. From crematoriums, would you believe it? What a crazy thing.

Can you eat tuna or not? Eat albacore tuna. I like pole caught, so you can actually buy now tuna that’s been caught with poles not with nets. I don’t like the idea of consuming tuna from companies that use large amounts of nets and have dolphins and turtles as a by catch. So you can actually shop around online and read about how tuna is caught. If it’s caught sustainably with poles by small companies in certain parts of the world, you’re going to really help to provide for those families. You’re going to be eating fish that’s caught in a sustainable manner. It makes a lot more sense to me. Albacore tuna is a smaller tuna. Blue fin and yellow fin tend to be the really big tuna. So the bigger the fish and the older it is, the more likely it’s going to have higher levels of a metal in its body.

But the amount of tuna you’re going to eat, come one, for God’s sakes. Are you going to eat a kilogram of tuna per day? You can have a can. You’re probably not going to eat tuna every day. Eating tuna here or there, especially if it’s packed in spring water or a good olive oil. I tend to avoid the ones in vegetable oil or soy oil or those crappy kind of oils because you don’t know where they come from. But if it’s a reputable brand, I’ve got no problem with it. Don’t get anal about this mercury thing.

Chances are as I mentioned in a previous video, you’re talking on your mobile phone. If you’ve got a mobile phone, you’re using regularly, if you’re on Wi-Fi all the time, chances are the damage to your DNA or your cells is going to be far greater than the microgram amount of mercury you may net from fish. If you’re worried, do a hair analysis. You can even do a provocation urine test. Get a DNPS injection or take some DMSA tablets, what we call a provocation test. You’re going to pee out urine that can be assessed for mercury and lead and other metals. Look, everyone has got metals. Every single person on the planet will have some degree of heavy metal toxicity ranging from miniscule up to serious. But is it causing them a problem, I can tell you now, I’ve tested many, many people over the years who’ve come back with metals in perfectly good health. And I’ve tested many people who come back with no metal at all that are really sick. But is it all mercury to blame?

We seem to have developed this blame culture in society. Today gluten’s the blame. Last week mercury was the blame. Every so often, there’s another kind of substance that we blame for our ill health. We don’t look at ourselves. We’ve got to blame somebody else or some other substance that makes us sick. I went through a phase probably about 20 years ago where I blamed everything on mercury. Where everyone had to their mercury fillings taken out. My wife has had mercury fillings ever since she was a little girl and she’s now 50. She’s in perfect health. So you can’t necessarily point a finger at mercury and say it’s the main cause for Candida.

A website I just looked at said that nearly all cases of Candida are caused by mercury. What a load of crap! There are many people out there with amalgam fillings that are not sick. Dr. David Quigg from Doctors Data in Chicago, America’s premier lab for heavy metal analysis, said to me, “Many people can detoxify mercury perfectly well from their system, especially if they don’t load up on Budweiser beer and drink gin and tonics every night and smoke 10 cigarettes a day. If you don’t create massive toxicity levels and you eat good food and you regular cleanse yourself, you’ve got a good ability to reduce a lot of this crap from the body.

If you pollute the hell out of your body, of course things like mercury are going to be bad, especially if you eat 10 cans of tuna a day. Use your head. A lot of this stuff is common sense that we’re talking about. A tuna salad here or there. Eating a fresh tuna steak here or there is perfectly okay. Don’t freak out about these kind of things. It’s all common sense. There’s plenty of ocean fish that are still safe to eat, especially the young species, the smaller fish that haven’t had a long life span or the ability to gather a lot of these toxins in their body.

My wife and I eat fresh fish twice a week. We love eating fresh fish. A Candida website I just looked at said to avoid all ocean fish because it’s all toxic. You need to be careful of red meat consumption. Try to keep it to 500 grams, which is about a pound or less per week. All red meat, regardless if it’s organic or not. I prefer to eat fresh fish as one of my primary proteins, certified free range eggs, tofu, and protein from things like chick peas and legumes and things like that, nuts and seeds. I prefer not to eat a lot of red meat anymore. I prefer to put that on the back burner.

There you have it. Tuna is okay. Small amounts, high quality product, not a problem at all. Don’t worry. None of us are getting out of this alive anyway. We’re all going to die. Don’t freak out. Thanks for tuning in. Don’t forget to click on my link below if you haven’t got my Candida report and subscribe. Thanks for tuning in.

I am always feeling tired and fatigue is it candida?

Greetings, greetings, greetings. Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher and formulator of the Canxida range of products and I’m from New Zealand. I’ve got a question here from a lady in a place called San Antonio. I think that’s in Texas. It reminds me of the 1973 Dooby Brothers’ song, China Grove. I think it’s got San Anton in it. Pretty cool band. Marcie Hughes is the lady’s name. I think a typical American name. I’ve never heard anyone in Australia or New Zealand called Marcie, so it must be an American name, Marcie. Is it in Texas? I think it’s in Texas.

Marcie’s asking me “Eric, is fatigue related to Candida? Can Candida cause crazy fatigue tiredness? Marcie, let’s first have a look at what fatigue constitutes because there are different kinds of fatigue. There is also fatigue, tiredness, and there’s weakness, so these are three different concepts we’re going to talk a little bit about today. Fatigue is very common with many different types of conditions. In fact, it’s so common Doctors are sick and tired of hearing the word “fatigue”.

Dr. Wilson, my good adrenal fatigue friend, once said to me “Don’t go to a doctor and tell him you’re tired. If you go there, they’ll say ‘Go away and send me someone in who’s really sick’.” Isn’t it crazy? Doctors don’t even see fatigue or tiredness or being a symptom anymore. They just say, “Everyone’s tired. Go away. I’m sick and tired of you guys. Go away.”

They did a survey in 1998 in New Zealand and I’m sure this would count for many western countries and they found that nearly 60 percent of doctors and specialist doctors suffered from burnout or fatigue. So if you’re in that 60 percent bracket, if you’re a doctor watching this now, how the hell could you recognized tiredness in someone when you’re so exhausted yourself. I’ve got a lot of energy. I never get tired. Of course, I get tired, but I mean I don’t really suffer from a lack of energy. I think it’s because of my diet and my lifestyle. I’m pretty sure that’s got a lot to do with it. I’ve learned not to burn the candle at both ends. I’ve learned to get to bed on time and to develop very good sleep habits. I relax in the afternoons. I try to have a small meditation session every day. It’s vital for recharging up your battery. We’ll talk about that later.

Fatigue often comes from improper diet and lifestyle. You see all my books on my shelves. A lot of the books I’ve looked at, the older books, all talk about the value of cultivating good sleep habits. They talk about the value of eating good meals. They talk about basic stuff and that’s what people have done for a long time in my industry, but I keep hammering on in all my videos that common sense isn’t very common. We live in a time of smart phones with dumb people. A lot of people don’t really understand that these stupid cell phones – you walk around everywhere and you see people looking at them night and day. People don’t switch off from technology anymore.

Steven Hawking, the professor, a very clever guy in the wheelchair. I just watched a video of Steve saying that we’ve been getting dumber and dumber. We’re not thinking anymore about our health, our lives, our environment. In fact, the way we’re going, the world’s finished within 100 years. Humanity as we know it is doomed, it’s finished unless we make serious change. Even though we think we’re becoming more intelligent and rely more on technology, I think we’re becoming more stupid when it comes to our bodies when it comes to health. We are still creatures. We’re animals. We need to live a natural life in a natural world. We can’t divorce ourselves from that. We’re not cyborgs or robots yet. As soon as we stray away from these paths and try to stay up later with yawning but keep on staying up. We’ve got to keep on going. That’s when we’re pushing into the zone of fatigue.

How many people watching this now have got one of these? This is an iPhone. How many people have got an iPhone? Hands up. I bet you everyone puts their hands up watching this. You’ve either got an android like a Samsung or an iPhone or whatever. How many people out there with one of those devices would not charge it up every day if they use it all the time? They’re texting. They’re reading emails. They’re working on it. You would charge it up every day. Every single day you charge it up. What do you do? You look at the bars, 99 percent. I’m looking good.

Now I love to see humans being created with some sort of device on their arm with bars, one bar, two bars, four bars. Oh, I’ve got full power today. I’m really good to go. But you know what, I think most people wake up with two bars or three bars and then they discharge their energy and then halfway during the day, they’ve got no energy left. So they have a couple of cups of coffee and a muffin or they take some uppers or pills or whatever they take to think they can develop energy. You develop energy by walking every day, by sleeping every day, by chewing food properly every day, by breathing correctly every day, by drinking plenty of water, by doing basic health habits. That’s how you develop energy. A healthy body generates ample energy and it will conserve that energy, save it for you when you need it, when you want to discharge it.

The first thing I would say to you, Marcie, with the fatigue is to check out your digestive function to make sure that you’re eating properly, you’re chewing properly, eating at regular times, eating quality food, you’re not relying on seven or eight cups of coffee a day. It’s not going to work. That’s the first thing I’m going to get you to do. Fatigue, tiredness and weakness, they’re three different creatures altogether.

Weakness to me is more like you’re finding it difficult to pick objects up. You’re going through your knees occasionally when you’re walking. You haven’t got a lot of stability, a lot of core strength. You find it difficult to walk up hills. Weakness often goes with unfitness. It can also go with deficiencies of the macro minerals like potassium, sodium, calcium and magnesium. Those four macro minerals need to be in great shape in your body for you not to be weak, so just remember that.

The big minerals have a lot to do with weakness. Digestion comes into weakness as well. You need to have great absorption and utilization of what you’re getting from your diet. Engines need great internal combustion to deliver the power that fuel creates to the wheel. Really good engines have got a very powerful ability to convert reciprocating motion into rotary motion. That’s the principle of an internal combustion engine.

People with healthy cells like me have got a great ability to convert glucose through the mitochondria into a very powerful spark of energy that ignites the body on multiple levels, gives you a lot of energy, but that process has to work. You need to have a lot of magnesium, a lot of B vitamins, everything has got to be in place. Good nutrition, good power. Good digestion, excellent power. Just remember that. Poor gut function, that’s where you’ve got to start to get that working.

Fatigue and weakness are different things. Generally, when I hear the word “fatigue” I’m starting to think about an adrenal problem. I’m thinking thyroid dysfunction. Those are the two major glands that are coming into fatigue. Endocrine dysfunction, hormonal problems. Weakness, think a little bit more about a chemical dysfunction. The fatigue, think more endocrine dysfunction. Tiredness can be a combination of both. Tiredness generally would be you’ve worked hard, you’re tired. Tiredness is okay as long as you recover fully and the tiredness goes away. Chronic fatigue people are often tired. They’ve got fatigue, but they’re tired. You now understand the difference between tiredness, fatigue and weakness?

Tiredness you recover from. Fatigue can be chronic fatigue, can be long term fatigue. Weakness also you can recover from. But fatigue can be of long duration. The first thing I would say to you is yes, Candida can certainly cause fatigue, very much so. But any kind of gut dysfunction can cause fatigue. Bad bacteria, parasites, insufficient level of beneficial bacteria, and yeast infections often have an element of fatigue there.

Yeast infections often have an element there also of tiredness and of weakness. So all those three concepts can be involved with Candida. If in doubt, maybe do some stool testing to see if your gut is okay. Fifty percent of the stool tests I’ve been checking lately have no Candida at all. Have in fact got poor beneficial bacteria. And a lot of people have been dumbfounded to get the results back and say, “What? No Candida. This test is wrong. It’s crap.” In fact, it’s not crap. They were basically misguided. They heard around that everything is a Candida problem. But it may not be at all. Never jump to conclusions. Don’t do that. They say it’s a good way to get exercise. Jump to conclusions. You’re jumping. Fly off the handle. Good way to get exercise. Flying and jumping, but don’t do it. You’ve got to think carefully.

You know what they say about assuming? If you assume something, you make an ass out of you and me, is assume. So be careful, never make assumptions. Never make assumptions when it comes to your health. Many times I’ve found people have entirely causes of problems than they originally thought.

What are we going to do to fix up the crazy fatigue with the Candida? Well, as I mentioned. First thing, do some assessments on the body. Maybe do a bit of checking out. Make sure that your lifestyle and diet is conducive toward recovery from this underlying problem and then let’s see what the energy does. The second thing that you can do is work on the sleep. You’ve got to cultivate that sleep habit. I don’t care if you’re going to bed at one or two o’clock every morning currently and you say you can’t sleep; you just make it a point in the afternoons of having a rest period. Even for 20 or 30 minutes, because this will bring your cortisol level down and then cause it to be more balanced later on in the evening. It’s very important for you to do that.

Saliva cortisol testing may be quite a good thing for you, too, if you can’t get your head around the fatigue and you want to know if it’s adrenal or not. Because you may well have very high or very low cortisol levels at inappropriate times of the day, so it could be another thing you could do. Gut testing, adrenal testing. I’ve worked now with over 10,000 patients with adrenal fatigue since learning about Dr. James Wilson’s work, and I’ve had outstanding results using his methods to help people recover from thyroid dysfunction and adrenal dysfunction. Best kept secret to chronic Candida, adrenal fatigue. Get that sorted.

I hope that answers your question, Marcie, and all the best in San Anton. Thanks very much.

Everything You Need To Know About Mouth Yeast Infections

Greetings there. It’s New Zealand naturopath, Eric Bakker. Author of Candida Crusher, formulator of the Canxida range of products. Thanks for tuning into my video. I really appreciate it. Thank you all the people who’ve subscribed to my channel. There are many subscribers coming on board now from many different parts of the world. I keep getting lots of increasing comments on YouTube and I’m getting lots of email. So just please be aware that I can’t really reply to all of the emails I get. I get tons of emails. Occasionally, I’ll pick out an email and I’ll respond to it, but there are many emails I just can’t reply to anymore. My priority obviously goes to the patients who see me in the clinic, on Skype or Face Time. They take up the share of my work. I try to communicate with people really effectively through the YouTube channel.

I’ve got a question here from a man in Missouri, America. This man’s name is Johnathan Wainright. Johnathan’s in his 60s and he wears dentures. Johnathan is asking me about mouth yeast infections. What can he do? Let’s talk about mouth and throat yeast infections with this video. I’ll give you some understanding on a little bit on what to do and some of the best possible solutions for it. I’m going to read some out of my book and I’ll also talk along with that as well. To reduce your chances of developing and maintaining a mouth or throat yeast infection, I highly recommend you follow these 10 rules. You’ll notice that quite a few dietary and lifestyle recommendations are based on the fact that oral and throat yeast infections will thrive in an environment that is warm, dark, moist and is fed on sugars and yeasty foods. Sometimes also pharmaceutical drugs as we’ll see can affect the mucosa.

Knowing this, think about excellent oral hygiene, take away the food supply for the yeast, so take the sugars away. Make it more hostile for the yeast to really thrive in the area and keep the area clean. It’s also pleasant for people around you if you haven’t got like a stinky breath, but you’ve got like a sweet smelling breath. When you’ve got a good amount of lactic acid and beneficial bacteria in your mouth, you’ll have a breath that smells quite okay. Sweet smelling breath. It won’t be stinky. There’s nothing worse than being near someone whose mouth smells really like a public toilet or something, and believe me, there are some stinky breaths out there. I know. I’ve had a few people over the years. This may be part of the reason why I like Skype because I can’t really smell that much on Skype. I’m not saying that all you guys have stinky breath out there. But if you have got a smell, bad breath or what we call halitosis, a medical term, sometimes you won’t even know it yourself. Do not be afraid to ask people around you if your breath stinks because it can be quite offensive and embarrassing for you if you don’t know.

Number one, observe good oral hygiene. It makes good sense to observe very good oral hygiene since this is the entry to the digestive tract. I recommend that you rinse your mouth first and then brush your teeth. You can floss it, but gently. Be careful not to floss too hard because you can really damage the gums. I use a tea tree oil toothpaste, but you can also use a bit of baking soda with water or a bit of sea salt or you can use a commercial toothpaste, but try to get more of a natural one without too many chemicals in it. The best time to brush your tongue is when you brush your teeth in the morning. Bacteria and yeast will multiply more on the tongue overnight than during the day. You may be able to find a good herbal mouthwash at your local health food shop as well. Be careful with the commercial mouthwashes high in alcohol because they can destroy a lot of the beneficial bacteria in your mouth. Not a good idea.

To avoid re-infecting yourself when brushing your teeth, try disinfecting your toothbrush regularly by placing the toothbrush in a little bit of hydrogen peroxide for a few minutes before and after tooth brushing. This is especially relevant if you have gum disease, if you’ve got a lot of white coating on your tongue. It’s important to keep your toothbrush clean.

A couple of points I’d like to explain to you also with teeth. Many people spend a lot of time cleaning their teeth, but they don’t think enough about their gum health or their tongue health or the oral cavity inside the mouth in general. All these areas are very important to keep them in great condition. This is the entry point for the digestive system. It’s important that you keep this area clean. The two most bacteria laden parts of your body are the mouth and the other end of your body, the anus, their quite full of bacteria. Knowing that, we’re not going to really clean that area too much, apart from when you go to the toilet, but this is the area that we really need to pay attention to. It’s important. Looking after your gums it’s a little bit to me like when you’ve planted a tree and you’re looking after the soil. The quality of soil and how strong and healthy the soil is and the microorganisms that live in and on the soil will dictate the health of that tree. Common sense? It is to me.

By looking after the gums very well, brushing them softly or massaging them, eating the right kind of foods, rinsing out your mouth, not eating foods too hot or too cold, burning hot foods. By taking care of the gums and making sure that you’ve got good nutritional status, feeding up the gums and the rest of the body with good levels of fatty acids, trace elements, and vitamins and minerals, you’ll ensure you’ve got very strong gums. Strong gums will mean strong teeth. It will mean that when you get old, you’re not going to have a mouth like a cave like only one or two teeth, and there’s a lot of wind blowing through it.

You ask someone who’s old and they’ll tell you, “Keep your teeth. Look after your teeth. You don’t want false teeth. They’re dangerous.” A lot of people can’t chew nuts or eat a lot of food with dentures, so looking after your teeth is a very, very important investment that many young people don’t really understand that concept until they get to be an old bugger like me in their 50s or 60s. They think, “I should have looked after my teeth. I should have brushed them more. There are too many teeth ripped out.” Gum health is everything. Just remember that. Look after your gums.

Do you wear dentures? In Johnathan’s case which prompted me to make this video, Johnathan wears dentures and has a lot of problems with dentures. Dentures sores are a very common occurrence and some estimates are that over 60 percent of all the denture wearers experience painful mouth ulcers as a result of an underlying yeast infection. You will know that you have a yeast infection by the redness and possible swellings. Often involving the upper pallet or the roof of the mouth that comes into contact with the denture.

The solution. Get your dentures checked regularly to see if they fit well and ensure excellent hygiene practices. Brush with a good herbal, preferably tea tree oil, toothpaste and fix any underlying digestive problems. Also follow my Candida Crusher dietary approach, the three-stage dietary approach for a good result. Denture wearers if you have issues, go and see your dentist and go and see someone who works with dentures to make sure that they’re fitting really well. Make sure that you chew properly also and cut food into small portion sizes.

Keep your immune system strong. Point number three. Keeping a good healthy immune system is the key to fighting any infection, especially a yeast infection. I often see patients with depressed immune systems who have a mouth or throat yeast infection and there can be many causes for this. Treating a Candida infection is quite straightforward with a good immune system. But for those with a compromised immune system, the treatment is different and may take longer. For example, those who can recognize instant stress or those who suffer from AIDS, diabetes, and certain types of heart disease, including those especially who suffer from adrenal fatigue or thyroid disorders. All will have one thing in common, a poor immune response. These are typically the patients who struggle with recurring throat or mouth infections.

I see this also in kids, teenagers, for example, who get ulcers, sore throats, lymph nodes swelling. They may be staying up too late on computers. They may be drinking soda drinks. They may be eating the wrong kind of foods. A lot of young people today have got poor immune function thanks to Google and shooting games and iPads and stuff like that that we didn’t have when we were kids.

There are many products that can help strengthen the immune system, but the first thing take is Vitamin C. Take until you reach bowel tolerance and work just under this dose for several days. Vitamin C is very important to make cortisol. In fact, one of the highest concentrations of Vitamin C in your body is found in the adrenal gland. We believe it’s there to help manufacture cortisol.

Number four. Treat mouth and throat yeast infections locally. The best results come when you treat locally and systemically, so make sure that you use methods that we’ll talk about to get the infection sorted in your mouth, in your throat, as well as boost up your immune system. One of the best local treatments for oral and throat infections is live natural sugar free yogurt. The lactic acid loving bacteria that live in yogurt will thrive naturally in the oral cavity and in your throat.

Mouth thrush will often imply that your friendly bacteria levels are low. Just hold the yogurt in your mouth for about five minutes two or three times per day. You can gargle with a kefir solution and you can even use kefir on toothbrushes. I’ve got a patient who said that their white tongue disappeared in 48 hours by using kefir on the toothbrush. That’s another thing you can do.

Other people do oil pulling, so they get a little bit of coconut oil first thing in the morning when you wake up. A tablespoon or two of coconut oil in the mouth and you swish it all around the tongue, the gums and everywhere. Just keep coating and coating and swishing it around for about four or five minutes and then you spit it out in the rubbish. What happens is a lot of bad bacteria and yeast are attracted into the coconut oil and then you reject that from the body. By doing that every day, the coconut oil oral treatment along with the live culture, you’re going to freshen up and clean the contents of the mouth dramatically. Especially, if you end up really working with digestive enzymes and probiotics systemically. Very clever to do both of those things.

Number five. Always treat mouth and throat infections systemically. Anyone who comes to my clinic with an oral yeast infection will get treated systemically. I presume they have a yeast infection in their digestive system as well. The digestive system is the major place where the Candida will reside. A yeast infection can multiply rapidly and grow out of control leading to complications all through the body. Much further afield, even into the joints, organs and different parts of the body. Remember, this is the entry point. Get this strong and the rest of the body will become strong, too.

Tea tree oil is a good mouthwash. Don’t use those commercial mouthwashes like Listerine and crap like that. It’s too strong on the body. I don’t really like them. I think you cause a lot of damage with them. Try a mouthwash with two tablespoons of water to which you’ve added five drops of tea tree oil. You can also get a water soluble tea tree oil sometimes and you can add five to ten drops of that into a good 10 ounces of water and just keep rinsing your mouth and gargling with that and spitting it out.

Do you have esophageal Candida? Throat Candida? Then do the same thing. Use a few tablespoons of water, add a few drops of tea tree oil and do a deep gargle. Rinse your mouth and gargle several times per day and follow my Candida Crusher program and you can beat this thing pretty quick. Tea tree oil is safe to use and is non-toxic like many websites have made it out to be. You’re not going to drink tea tree oil. You’re going to gargle with it and spit it out. You’re going to brush your teeth with a few drops on your toothbrush and spit it out.

Number seven. Avoid hot and spicy foods and drinks. If you’ve got a really bad problem with your tongue, throat or mouth, keep away from stuff like raw chilies and lots of raw garlic like really strong things in your mouth. They can really aggravate at the time. If you have an issue with the skin lining your mouth or throat, then you are best to avoid placing anything in your mouth that is excessively hot and spicy will irritate it. You’ll heal the skin faster by removing these obstacles from your diet. It makes common sense. Burning hot coffee, freezing cold things in your mouth, not really a good idea.

Eight. We’ve already spoken about this to a degree. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies. They’re very common in many countries. When you lack crucial nutrients like vitamins and minerals, your immune system will the first things to become compromised. Immune suppression and immune incompetence commonly occurs as a result of deficiencies. Some of the most common ones are iron and zinc. Up to 30 percent of people I see have got an iron or zinc deficiency. Vegetarians often lack iron and B12. One of the best things to ensure that you do not become deficient is by eating a healthy balanced diet and in conjunction taking a very good comprehensive multivitamin and mineral supplement. This is one of the causes of mouth and throat infections you can easily remedy.

I’m currently working on a product called Canxida Rebuild. It will be the first product of its kind and it’s a multivitamin specifically targeted for people with SIBO and Candida. It’s going to have a very special antifungal/antibacterial backbone, so powder added to it. It’s a multi design to heal the mucosa and the lining of the gut. Specifically targeted. It can be taken by anybody even as a general multi for young people and adults, but it’s especially good for people with a compromised digestive system. I’m also using specific forms of vitamins and minerals for easy absorption.

Iron deficiency. It is surprising how many women lack sufficient iron in their diet. Some experts estimate 30 percent of women in many developed countries have some kind of iron deficiency, and that can have a huge effect on the immune system. Wounds tend to heal slower when iron deficiency is present and lack of iron is the reason why wounds on the corner of mouth as well as mouth ulcers and throat lesions do not heal properly. Iron is necessary to carry oxygen around the body. Iron has a boosting, stimulating effect on immune function. Get a blood test done to see what your level is. The best thing to do is probably to take an iron supplement if you’re low. Ferritin is the iron storage and serum albumin is basically what you’ve got in your blood.

Zinc deficiency. Zinc has a most profound influence on many aspects of immune function. The lack of zinc in your diet can cause many problems, including impaired wound healing and chronic ulceration. Zinc taste test you can actually do at your chemist or your naturopath or some nutritional doctor can do a zinc taste test for you. Zinc be part of your multivitamin. Try zinc and vitamin C also.

Tip number nine is this will heal any kind of ulcer of the mouth quite quickly. If you observe good oral hygiene, eat good food, get plenty of nutrients in your diet and you still have a problem with recurring ulcers and things or Candida, try the zinc and vitamin C lozenge. They will heal many issues affecting the mouth, gums, tongue and throat. I highly recommend lozenges for sore throat, mouth ulcers, poor immune function and herpes simplex or cold sore outbreaks, for example. Try sucking on a lozenge every two hours.

Number ten. Avoidance of steroid drugs and antibiotics. This is a big one. One of the biggest causes of oral or throat yeast infections is antibiotics or inhaled steroids, which are commonly used in asthma. Pharmaceutical drugs are a commonly overlooked cause of many yeast infections. One major cause I’ve seen time and again in my clinic, “Are you an asthmatic or regular experience a sore throat? Have cracked corners of your mouth or find that you experience recurring mouth ulcers?” And it took you to a doctor and find that it’s a drug that you’re taking is linked with any of these problems. If in doubt, go to Dr. Google there can tell you these things, too.

Those who take an antibiotic will not only discover that they may be much more prone to diarrhea and upset digestive system. They’ll also be a lot more prone to issues of the mouth and throat, so just bear that in mind. Always be on guard if you take an antibiotic or inhaled steroid. Look out for telltale signs. Many people who take immune suppressant drugs will get some kind of oral problem, so be very sure the drug you’re taking is not constantly causing this problem.

If you continue to have a problem with your mouth, you’ll eventually have a problem further down with your throat, stomach, small bowel, everything downstream will get affected, so it’s important to get the mouth problem solved. I hope that gives you some good information, Johnathan, on mouth and throat yeast infections. You can fix them up. But as I always say, work on the cause. Thanks for tuning in.
