Can I contract yeast infection from public shower?

Good day, Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher and another question for you coming your way regarding yeast infections.

Can I get a yeast infection from a public shower?

I’m not sure what you mean by yeast infection from a public shower, but I think that you mean athletes foot or toenail fungus. You’re certainly more susceptible if you’re going to walk around barefoot in public facilities, particularly if you don’t dry your feet properly and put clean socks on.

I’ve been involved in gym for many years of my life and have never had athletes foot from a gym. I have known people who’ve complained to me about athletes foot that frequent gyms. I’ll tell you what, I think a key thing in this situation is to make sure you’ve always got clean cotton socks, you’ve got multiple pairs of shoes, you rotate shoes, and when you come home, you take those socks and shoes off, you don’t walk around with socks a lot.

It’s people who tend to wear sneakers and shoes and socks all the time and particularly guys who drink beer or eat pizzas or have yeasty or sweet foods who tend to have smelly, sort of sweaty bodies who don’t dry themselves properly. They’re much more prone to fungal yeast infections of the feet.

I don’t think you would catch other kinds of yeast infections from showers apart from infections of the lower extremities. You wouldn’t get a vaginal infection from a public shower nor would you get a throat infection or mouth infection.

So I think we’re talking about foot infections. If you’re concerned and you’ve been to a public shower, make sure you dry your feet properly and put clean cotton socks on. And a clever trick is to put one or two drops of tea tree oil in your shoe; rub them around your feet. And the best tea tree oil is the Australian tea tree oil. Don’t be fooled. Melaleuca alternifolia or the Australian tea tree oil is the only tea tree oil to use. There are a lot of scam products on the market that claim to be Australian tea tree oil, but they’re not. So make sure it’s the real Aussie tea tree oil.

So I hope that answers your question about the infections in the public showers.

Can jacuzzi cause yeast infection?

Hi there, Eric Bakker, naturopath, author of Candida Crusher; another question.

Can I get a yeast infection from a Jacuzzi?

I think a Jacuzzi is one of those hot baths or hot springs or hot pools. You can’t really get a yeast infection from a Jacuzzi when you think about it. The water’s quite a high temperature. It’s moving fast. It’s not really likely you’re going to get a yeast infection from a Jacuzzi. I don’t really think so.

You are maybe more likely to pick up a toenail or tinea, athletes foot, perhaps, if you’re walking around locker rooms or things like that, but you don’t generally get yeast infections from Jacuzzis.

If you’re concerned about Jacuzzis or public hot pools, whirlpools, make sure you have a good shower and a clean thereafter and dry yourself properly. Drying is a particularly important thing to do if you are prone to yeast infections. Use a hair dryer and dry the pubic region particularly with a towel and then use a hair dryer for further treatment, and you should be okay.

So you should not really concern yourself about catching a yeast infection from a Jacuzzi. It shouldn’t really be a problem.

So I hope that answers your question.

Can yeast infection cause anal itching?

Good day, Eric Bakker, naturopath and author of Candida Crusher with another question I get asked from time to time.

Does yeast infection cause anal itching?

Very much so; this is a key symptom and a symptom I see quite a lot in males and females.

In Chapter 3 in my book, you can read an extensive amount of signs and symptoms about yeast infection; the gastrointestinal symptoms, the urinary symptoms, the mental emotional symptoms, the muscular skeletal symptoms, the immune symptoms, how to recognize yeast infections in men, women, and children in great detail, and a key symptom is anal itching. However, you may also find anal itching to be related to pinworm or other parasites.

So if you’ve got symptoms of bloating, gas, sugar cravings, I’m going to start thinking about yeast infection. There are many other videos you’ll find on YouTube about where I’m going to go into this particular symptom in great detail.

This is a real problem for a lot of people. I’ve had people from all over the world approach me with this particular symptom. And in other videos, I’ll explain exactly how to deal with this particular symptom. All right, I’ve got some great hints and tips.

Stay tuned, and I’ll give you some more information about this. I hope this answers your question. Thank you.
