What Health Issues Can Candida Cause?

Question: “What health issues or diseases can Candida cause?” Well, this is a very interesting question. The reply to this is quite simple. It can cause a wide range of dysfunction in the body. This is where medical people think people like me need to get their head examined or be on serious anti-psychotic medication, because they think that I’m absolutely crazy. Maybe I am crazy. I don’t think I’m crazy. Not that crazy.

When you think about something like Candida Albicans, or many different types of Candida strains. When you think about bacteria. When you think about viruses and parasites and lots of different potential pathogens. They can cause a big, big problem for one reason. They throw the balance of the body right out. They make the person’s immune system go crazy. Your immune system has an incredibly powerful effect on nearly all aspects of your body’s well being. But one of the biggest things I see with Candida what health issues it can cause, it can cause long-term serious dysfunction with the person and how that person views their life.

When you’ve been sick for a long time, like I was for example in my 20s-I got very, very unwell for a long period of time.

When you go from doctor to doctor and you’re told that you’re nuts, you’re crazy, you’re a hypochondriac. When your parents don’t believe you anymore. When your partner leaves you. When your kids think you’re completely bongo. When all the doors slam shut in your face. When you’ve been on all the drugs. You’ve been to all the doctors, and you’ve got no answers to your health, how do you think it makes you feel? What kind of disease do you think that causes?

It causes you to give up hope. It causes you to really question why you’re bloody well alive. Many people I’ve seen over the years with a serious yeast imbalance have contemplated suicide. They don’t want to live anymore. One of the big reasons why they don’t want to live anymore is because nobody believes in them anymore. They even start to give up believing in themselves. That’s the sort of diseases you can get and imbalances from a bad yeast infection. But when it comes to disease (diagnosable disease), I would say it can cause many different types of signs and symptoms.

Now remember, signs are what I the physician can see and your symptoms is what you experience. So a sign is more subjective, and the symptom is objective, because that’s what you’re feeling. So many different signs and symptoms can occur with this based on how the yeast infection in fact causes the immune imbalance. But not just the immune imbalance. Candida will also create a big problem with other things in your body. Beneficial bacteria and other bacteria. It will cause imbalance.

Good bacteria can go bad to nasty with a Candida infection. Beneficial bacteria can go from low to zero with a bad yeast infection. That can increase your risk of many different diseases when the beneficial bacteria go down the gurgler.

Beneficial bacteria now are linked to even cancer prevention. We know that people with bowel cancer have very compromised levels of beneficial bacteria. We know that most people with cancers have got significant amounts of yeast in their body.

There’s a lot of American and Italian research in particular that’s done a huge amount of work in this area. Nearly all cancer patients are loaded with yeast infection. Am I saying that Candida causes cancer? I never said that did I? But what I’m saying is there’s a correlation between them both. There’s a correlation between many autoimmune diseases and yeast infection. So we know that when people have got these serious illnesses, that Candida seems to sit there alongside. It’s just like when there’s a big fire. We know that usually a firetruck turns up, but did the firetruck cause the fire? Not really, but there’s an association between them both.

So, therefore, what we can infer from that that it’s very important to get rid of a yeast infection, to get the balance back again, to restore harmony in the body, to make sure there are lots of beneficial bacteria that keep these bad nasty yeast imbalances from going crazy. That’s what we can infer from that. The Candida can be not necessarily responsible or causing these diseases, but it can certainly create a massive imbalance in the body leading you towards this kind of a sickness. Now remember, I never said Candida can cause all these illnesses, but it certainly can contribute to it. There’s a big difference there.

So I hope that answers your question. It’s very important to determine A: Have you got Candida imbalance, and B: If you’ve got one, to deal with it. Now remember, I’ve said this before. Over 50 percent of people I see now in my online clinic-in fact, when I tested them, have got no Candida at all. They’ve got bad bacteria or low beneficial bacteria or parasites. There are many people who never thought they’ve got Candida, in fact, have got Candida. When I’ve done a stool test, I’ve found Candida. They didn’t believe it. But the microscope didn’t lie. The yeast culture didn’t lie.

Just be careful before you make an assumption that you’ve got a yeast infection. You first need to know the facts. Don’t jump to conclusions. Many people do that on the internet. It’s a crazy thing to do. Many health issues and diseases can be implicated with Candida. Don’t forget that. I hope that gives you a bit of an insight into my reply to that question.

Candida Yeast Not Going Away? Do This

Greetings! Eric Bakker, naturopath from New Zealand. Author of Candida Crusher. Formulator of the CanXida range of supplements. I’ve got an interesting question here that was put to me through the YouTube channel. It’s a lady called Allison Taylor and she’s from Kent in England. Allison is saying, “Eric, what do I do? I’ve had Candida for three years and it’s not going away and I’ve tried all the diets. I can’t get rid of it.”

So, Allison’s question is particularly regarding a vaginal yeast infection, but she’s had other kinds of issues in her digestive system and many other issues. I’m not going to go into Allison’s case here-there’s a lot of personal stuff in here. It’s quite a lengthy email I got from her, but I promised her in a private message that I would respond to this by YouTube video.

So, it’s quite an interesting case, Allison’s and it’s one I’ve heard many times before. I’ve got a person here-she’s separated; she’s got two grown up children, teenage grown up children. She’s working. She’s got mortgage stress. She’s had relationship breakdown issues. She’s got problems at work. She’s got a few different issues that she’s going through. In other words, she’s got high stress.

This is a lovely lady. I can tell by the email. She’s a very nice person. Three years it’s not going away. But have you noticed how Allison says, “I’ve tried all the diets.” I keep telling people it’s not all about food. There’s a lot more at stake here. It’s not just about what you put in your mouth that will determine a successful outcome with a yeast infection.

I can’t tell you how many people I see on Skype through my online clinic that have got many different types of issues in their life-many challenges that they face. Many people experience these stresses and they try and deal with them by exercising. We’re going to go out and do lots of exercise or they go out and they go on these very special diets. They eat the best foods. They get personal trainers. They go all out and they still feel like crap. They go to the doctor, doesn’t work. They go to the naturopath, doesn’t work.

Then they talk to me. Then they start saying, “Well, I didn’t think that my lifestyle was affecting me that much. I’m eating the best possible diet. I’ve got a really fit body, how come I’m not getting any better?” And you can soon hear it by the voice, by the attitude, by the mannerisms, you can see why many people aren’t getting better. Many of these people develop anxiety and stress as a result of feeling sick, which in turn is a stress in its own right that is going to cause a lot of problems.

Now in Allison’s case, we did end up having a consultation with Allison and she told me I’m quite okay to talk about this case online, but as I mentioned I’m not going to give a lot of details away. I think Allison finally realized that she has to make some significant changes when it comes to boundaries in her life with people. She’s got to start saying no to some of the negative relationships that she’s got. In particular, she’s got to be careful with her work environment, because it’s really eating her up. She hates her job. She doesn’t like it, but she feels that she has to continue on with this job.

Now this patient’s diet is pretty phenomenal. In fact, her diet’s way better than my diet, but she’s still not really recovering. Now, what we’re doing now with Allison is we’re doing a salivary cortisol DHEA test and we’re doing a stool test. We’re going to have a look at what stress is actually causing to her body. We’re going to determine what her cortisol levels are like to see if she’s getting immune suppression or if she’s got a very deficient immune system. We’re going to be doing a stool test to see exactly where her gut is and how it’s been affected by the changes in the cortisol level. This will be able to give me a really good understanding of how Allison’s responding in a physiological sense to her lifestyle and diet.

So, just remember folks, it’s not just all about what you eat. I’m sick to the back teeth of all these videos I’ve seen from all these people in beautiful suits: “You need to eat this kind of food, and that kind of food,” but they really don’t go into enough of the psyche of the person. How that person feels about their life. These are the very important things here that need to be addressed.

Now remember, I’ve said this time and again. If you’re not responding to treatment, you need to change what you’re doing. Not just change eating brown rice, eating white rice or going to this rice, I couldn’t give a damn about what kind of rice you eat half the time. I’m much more interested in how you relate to your boss or your husband or your wife. How you relate to the teenagers or the young children. How this is affecting you. I’m looking at the parameters like energy, sex drive, sleep, anxiety, depression. These things speak volumes about the person a lot more than about how many times they fart a day. I’m much more interested to see how many times they lose their rag a day.

In Allison’s case, it’s pretty obvious there’s a lot of anxiety here. There’s sleeping disorders here. There’s a very dissatisfied person. Of course this woman is not going to respond to the diet. What the hell’s a diet got to do when she hates her boss? She needs to make some significant change. With significant change, comes significant change. Small change, small outcome. Big change, big outcome. That’s how I want you to think. Life’s too short to live a crappy unfulfilled life.

The ball is in your court. You decide which way you want to go with your health. I can tell you now, if you think that eating a perfect diet and having a perfectly toned body is going to make you fit and healthy, then you’re barking up the wrong tree. Just want you to think that. These are important considerations to make here.

So there you have it Allison, I’ve spelt it out. I hope it’s not going to be too offensive for you, but you told me to talk about it. There’s a lot of things I haven’t told people about. Things that I will keep confidential. So I really want you to make these changes. One of the things we agreed on during the consultation was that you were going to start looking for another job. I really think this deep unhappiness that you’ve got with your work is resulting in some tension with your children, and that’s one of the first things I’d like you to resolve.

When people become very happy with their lifestyle, they become happy with their relationships. When they’ve overcome personal difficulties and problems, it often means it’s the beginning of the body to start healing and recovering on quite a deep level. I’ll leave it at that.

Effects of Candida On Your Body

Greetings! Eric Bakker, New Zealand naturopath. Author of Candida Crusher, formulator of the CanXida range of dietary supplements. Thank you for coming back. Going to do a video here which is a bit of a sequel to the first one that I had a young man from Australia ask me and Nick from Sydney asked me the question: “Where does Candida Live in the Body?” That’s the previous video. This video I’m going to also say, “What does Candida do in the body?”

So, Candida is a yeast that lives in not everybody’s body but in many people have got Candida living there in harmony and in balance with other organisms. Other kinds of yeasts and other kinds of bacteria in particular. It’s a little bit like a city. Let’s say Amsterdam, where we’ve got a huge, big multicultural society. We’ve got people from all sorts of countries living there. We’ve got people from the Dutch Antilles, from Suriname living there. We might have people from America living there. We’ll have guys and ladies from Spain living there, Portugal, people from Morocco, people from Australia, heaps of different types of people live there. Tall people, skinny people, fat people, yellow people, brown people, whatever. So, there’s lots of people living there and they’re supposed to live in harmony, but not everybody lives in harmony.

We can see what’s happened unfortunately with a large amount of people coming into Europe at the moment with the big Muslim influx. Mostly, all Muslim people are wonderful people and peace abiding and lovely people. We’re going to get some radical extreme people in there, and of course that’s going to create a big problem. That’s going to create a lot of problem.

That’s what happens with Candida. If we get Candida living in harmony and in balance, it’s going to be okay. It’s going to be kept in check by many other kinds of bacteria and yeasts. However, if it gets the upper hand, and we’ve got a couple of these ISIS guys amongst the Candida or terrorist kind of people. Yeast can be a bit like that as well. It’s opportunistic. It’s parasitic. It will take from you and not give back. It will start creating a big problem. Because all of a sudden, it’s going to create a mini city for itself.

Now some people call this a biofilm. It will really try and rev things up in the body. It causes a big problem with the immune system. That’s one of the biggest things that it does. It can cause immune suppression; it can cause immune upregulation. So your immune system can take off and secrete many chemicals to try to counter the yeast infection. But what happens unfortunately, it can create a big stress on the body. It can make the person feel quite unwell. It can push the person into many endocrine dysfunctions. I’ve seen many people with major yeast infection, yeast imbalance long term develop thyroid and adrenal dysfunction for many different reasons. Too many I can go into in this video.

So when you’ve had this problem for a long time, it causes a big stress and weakness to the body. The endocrine system becomes compromised. Everything becomes compromised. Sleep, energy, libido, and well-being. All these sorts of things can happen. Unfortunately, cortisol starts to increasingly go down. The adrenals have a problem keeping up with enough cortisol supply and then the immune system becomes weak, and then the Candida really ramps up and takes off. Then you start getting bad bacteria coming on board. And because you’re so weak, it’s not hard to get a Blastocystis or a parasite infection on top of the whole thing.

That’s what Candida can do to the body. It can make you weak and sick, and it can make you vulnerable and over time, increasingly vulnerable to more insidious and awful diseases. Particularly parasitic infections. Bacterial imbalances. Increasing amounts of yeast can come in the body. Then what happens? The person goes to the doctor. Gets pharmaceutical medications that further weaken and sicken the body. Eventually, the patient comes to someone like me and they’re on a cocktail of drugs. They’re taking multiple rounds of antibiotics. They’re very sick. They’ve exhausted all their income. They’ve been to 50 doctors. They’ve gone to Doctor Google. Doctor Google couldn’t cure them, and then eventually, I hear about these kind of people. They’re quite tough people to treat when they’ve had Candida for 20 or 30 years.

I prefer to get a hold of a patient when they’ve been unwell for only a short people of time, because we can turn them around quite quick. So the longer Candida has been in the body, the stronger the symptoms can be. The more they’ve set in; the harder they can be to shift. I’ve yet to see a case that doesn’t improve, but I have seen plenty of patients that aren’t willing to do what it takes to improve. That’s the big difference there.

So I hope that gives you a little bit of an insight on what Candida does to the body. It’s like any other kind of imbalance. It’s best corrected at the onset rather than down the track. A small problem fixed now can save a hell of a lot of problems down the track. So think about that.

If you are new to this YouTube channel, please check out my book Candida Crusher, and have a look at my CanXida range of supplements which were designed for people with yeast imbalance ranging from very mild to moderate to severe to extreme.
