Is leaky gut associated with candida?

Thank you for checking this video out. Is leaky gut Candida? Is leaky gut Candida itself or is it associated with Candida? Can you explain this please?

Well, what you’re going to find is leaky gut or intestinal permeability is not generally caused by Candida, but there’s often a big association between them both. Many people develop leaky gut syndrome as a consequence of their diet or lifestyle. In fact, most patients I see have some type of intestinal permeability.

This is a real problem today, and we see it particularly with people with poor lifestyles. People who aren’t resting up enough. People eating the wrong kind of foods. People who are relying on medications, all sorts of medications for the stomach, for their joints for inflammation, headache pills, all sorts of pills. They can affect the digestion quite a lot.

Some foods that contribute to leaky gut in my opinion are commercial poultry with quite a lot of antibiotics in it. You’d be surprised how many antibiotics are put in commercial poultry that’s quite inexpensive, so these foods destroy a lot of the beneficial bacteria and contribute to leaky gut. You may not be aware of that.

How do you know you’ve got leaky gut? What are some of the signs and symptoms of it? Food intolerance, bloating, a lot of gas, flatulence, these are typical signs and symptoms of leaky gut syndrome. Change in bowel habit when the bowel’s a bit all over the place can be a sign there as well.

I would say that in my opinion that most people with Candida have some degree of leaky gut. A quick way to overcome this, of course, is to include some fermented or cultured foods into the diet. Remove the poor dietary choices that you’re making, particularly sugars and alcohols and foods like that. Abstain from all pharmaceutical medications is a good step in the right direction. Eating a lot more fresh foods and in summer, I like people to eat raw foods like fresh salads. Cut up your own foods. Grow your own foods if you can.

I’ve got a large vegetable garden, so I tend to grow a lot of leafy greens and all the brassicas, all the solanaceaes and tomatoes, egg plants, capsicums, all the herbs. I grow large amounts of parsley and mint, basil, oregano, thyme, rosemary; I grow all of the herbs. We tend to cook with lots of fresh foods. I have usually stir-fries every day for lunch, which are partially cooked foods and I put in there lots of spring onions, the Chinese vegetables that go in there. This is a good dietary approach. These sorts of foods are going to heal the leaky gut.

Fresh foods contain enzymes. Enzymes allow the body to break the foods down rapidly and extract more goodness from them. Cooked foods don’t do that. Cooked foods are harder to digest, so easy to digest foods. A good way to look and understand if your bowel is healthy is to look at the bowel motions themselves. Well-formed bowel motions and easily eliminated is a sign of a healthy bowel generally. Especially if there’s no bloating and there’s minimal gas. That tells you that you’re not eating a lot of bad sugars. That you’re eating plenty of fiber and you’ve got a good water content to the diet as well. These are manners to overcome leaky gut syndrome. And also Candida hates a diet that is full of these sorts of fresh vegetables and fruits.

Initially with Candida, you need to be careful of the fruits, but over a period of time, you can eat all the fruits again. Fruits generally can upset a person with severe yeast infection, so that’s just a couple of good ideas for you.

Last tip that I’ll leave you with is to really try to increase the amount of cultured or fermented foods you eat. This will really help you overcome leaky gut, particularly if you like foods like sauerkraut that I do. I recently cut up eight cabbages and made up a large amount of sauerkraut. I also enjoy kefir culture. Kefir is very simple to make at home and so is sauerkraut. Yogurt’s easy to make at home. Kimchee is easy to make at home. You’ll find all of these foods on yeastinfection.org. I write a bit about them.

By the way, don’t forget to do my quiz, my Candida quiz, on yeastinfection.org or on CandidaCrusher.com.

Is Lufenuron Effective Against Candida Albicans?

I’m going to talk a little bit more about Lufenuron now, the chitin synthesis inhibitor again and how ridiculous it is for Candida patients to take this product.

In 2005, there was an article written by the University of California, I believe, I think it was in a veterinary journal saying that it clearly showed that Lufenuron did not work against inhibiting chitin development, basically. It didn’t really work. They found this really through microscopy and through various other ways of research. It was proven it was not an effective product.

If you’re going to look at trying to get rid of Candida, why would you want to use a product that was designed to kill fleas in cats and dogs? Why would you want to do that? This is crazy! I really believe the old saying that it is “morally wrong to ask suckers to keep their money” and “a fool and his money is soon parted.” Think this through carefully, folks. Why would you want to take a product designed to kill fleas you think is going to eradicate Candida?

I’ve told you many times before in these videos that the only real way to get rid of a yeast infection is by looking at the causes and tackling the causes, killing is a waste of time. Inhibiting the Candida makes a lot of sense, but I firmly believe that the best way to inhibit and eradicate Candida is not just by focusing on Candida. It’s by focusing on your digestive system in general. Improving the beneficial strains. Eradicating various types of bacteria as well.

Many patients who I do stool analysis on have all kinds of bacteria in their bowel like clostridium that need eradicating. And many people have this false belief that the only thing they’ve got to kill is Candida. This is a stupid belief. It’s about bringing the good ones up and the bad ones down. It’s about eating the right kind of foods that support the beneficial bacteria. It’s about understanding the connection between high or low cortisol levels and how they affect your immune system, which increases your susceptibility to getting and maintaining Candida.

There’s a whole lot of things you need to look at if you want to get rid of Candida for good, but taking a product to kill Candida like Lufenuron is plain dumb. You’re going to waste your money. And like a whole lot of patients that I see, you’re probably going to get sick, headaches, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, itchy skin, liver toxicity, the list goes on and on and on. So don’t fall for Lufenuron or these products with false promise.

Look at the website, Candida Cleanser website, for example, how they make out that diets don’t work. You’re wasting your time with diets. Anyone that tells you that diets don’t work in eradicating yeast infection to me is like some radical militant organization telling you that you’ll be shot dead if you can’t read from the Koran. This is just insanity. It doesn’t work like that. Just avoid these kind of people.

These people that market these products are clearly not medically qualified. They’ve never seen patients. They’re just trying to push a product for a high price to make a quick buck. These people are fly-by-nights. Think it through carefully. Do they offer you lots of free information like I do? No, they don’t.

Have a look at yeastinfection.org. You get tons of free information. No cost to you. Just by following the information on yeastinfection.org, you’ll probably get rid of Candida without even spending a dime. I’m not here to make bucks out of patients. These videos aren’t designed to generate high profit at all. I wouldn’t spend many hundreds of hours writing a book, thousands of hours writing a book, or doing all these videos purely thinking about profit.

I’m also concerned about patients. I’ve been seeing patients for 26 years now. I’ve seen these scams come and go over the years. Don’t fall for Lufenuron or this Candida cleansing chitin product. Think about it logically for a minute. Keep your money. Try different ways to get rid of Candida.

I hope this gives you some information. Thanks for tuning in today.

How contagious is candida? Is candida contagious?

How contagious is Candida? Is Candida contagious? Can you get it from somebody else? Can you give it to somebody else?

Well, not really. It’s not a disease that you’re going to spread around that easily. In fact, I don’t believe many diseases are easily caught from other people because it all depends on your level of susceptibility. To get sick, you have to be a person who attracts sickness to them.

A very interesting book I read when I was a student was called the Organon of Medicine written by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann. Hahnemann was the founder of Homeopathy. Homeopathy has been very maligned, particularly in the last 5 to 10 years. It’s been ridiculed and slammed incredibly. Its biggest opponents, obviously, are the pharmaceutical industry. We’ve seen this 100 years ago in America as well. When homeopathy was almost completely destroyed and it came back up again.

It’s been destroyed in many countries again like the U.S. and the U.K., but it will come back up again in years to come. As allelopathic pharmaceutical medicine slowly dies and people realize that these drugs kill more people and maim more people than they cure, powerful natural therapies will once again arise. I firmly believe that.

Hahnemann wrote in his book that people attract illness to them a bit like a magnet attracts metal to it, and I’ve repeatedly seen this as well. People that are stressed, that are weak, that have an increased susceptibility and a decreased resistance are the ones that get sick. This is especially so. You will find that many people can be around others who get sick and never get sick. And yet other people develop this sickness spontaneously without even being around someone who’s sick, so how does that happen? Why doesn’t everybody get sick when somebody else is sick?

It’s all about immune resistance. It’s all about susceptibility. If you are a person who suffers from stress, malnutrition, nutritional deficiencies, you’ve got problems with bowel flora; there are many reasons why we could contract a Candida infection.

One of the biggest stresses that can affect us are pharmaceutical drugs, particularly patients who’ve been taking steroids, anti-inflammatory medications that wreck their gut function, antibiotics that destroy the gut function. These sorts of drugs taken repeatedly. The oral contraceptive pill is another prime one involved in yeast infections.

Passing it from one to another is a possibility with intimate contact, so I’ve certainly seen that occur, but not in all cases, but it can happen. But you’re not really going to pass a yeast infection from one person to another with utensil sharing like giving somebody a cup or a spoon or something like that, not generally. Most Candida won’t survive the stomach anyway. But certainly genital contact, sexual contact, I’ve seen that definitely happen. So with partners, it’s always important to make sure that if one person has a yeast infection, that the other one takes precautions. That’s certainly worth bearing in mind.

But other conditions like gastrointestinal or toenail fungus, I don’t really believe that these things are passed around from one person to another. Many people say that you get Athlete’s foot just by being in gym rooms, but that’s not true. Many people walk around in locker rooms, changing rooms, in bare feet and don’t get toenail fungus. Toenail fungus, again, is not a contagious disease. It’s a condition that you develop because you wear socks all the time. Because you don’t air out your feet. Because you have too much sugars in your diet. These things are not, I believe, passed from one person to another.

So to answer that question. Yes and no. It can be spread intimately, but I don’t believe in other ways necessarily. I hope that answers your question.

Thank you.
